Birthday Cakes



I loved making this cake, it was for my cousin's 21'st the flowers took ages to make but i had a free day so enjoyed creating them and putting it altogether, I was a 'Mad Hatter' style 'wonky' cake, I learn't a lot from making this one!




 
This cake was all sponge, I was given a photograph of a cake to model this one and photo of the lady who's birthday it was!
















This was a first attempt at a wine bottle shaped cake, made using 2x 8" round cakes, I really enjoyed making it, the wine label was printed on edible icing





Vanilla sponge cake with buttercream and jam.






 This was for a birthday/firework party.








This cake was death by chocolate - it was a chocolate sponge with buttercream filling, covered with matchmakers and filled with malteasers.







This was for a family birthday - it was difficult to think of a theme for three people so presents won! The presents around the sides were made from coloured fondant icing.

This cake was for my Grandad and Aunties birthday - it was a joint celebration. My Grandad has a summerhouse, I used run out icing to make the sides and roof of the summerhouse then iced the sides and roof together - it was very fiddly but i was pleased with how it looked.  the cake was vanilla sponge, buttercream and jam.

 




This cake was for my cousin who was having money towards driving lessons for his 17th birthday.
 I really enjoyed making this one, it was a last minute request from my sister, it was a vanilla sponge with jam and buttercream.



This was my first commission! My Dad asked if i could make a cake for a friend of his who he knows through his local badminton club.  It went down very well!
